　体に染み込んだグルーブ感で自在に鍵盤を操るキーボード奏者・イマニ。福岡市を拠点に演奏者、プロデューサー、アレンジャーとして幅広く音楽にかかわる。
米国ミシガン州のデトロイトに生まれ、４歳でピアノを弾き始めた。トロンボーン、ビオラのほか、合唱団メンバーとして声楽を学び、東ミシガン大学で楽典を学んだ。１９９０年代に来日し、ゴスペルの講師・伴奏者として１００人以上を指導。豊富なステージ経験が評価され、小室哲哉のプロジェクトなどにも参加している。

　ソリストの演奏に敏感に反応し、もり立てていく伴奏のセンスは、積み重ねてきたトレーニングと経験のたまものだろう。人間味ある人柄も信頼されている。１０月には、日本での活動を集大成したアルバム「ＦＲＯＭ　ＴＨＩＳ　ＭＯＭＥＮＴ　ＯＮ！」を発表予定だ。　（平原）

The Keyboardist controls his instrument freely with a deeply ingrained groove...IMANI!
He was born in Detroit, MI, USA and started playing the piano when he was 5. Other than trombone and viola, he learned vocal as a choir member and music theory at Eastern Michigan University. He came to Japan in the 1990`s to train more than 100 people as a gospel instructor and pianist. With acclaim, his considerable stage performances include Japanese artist`s such as Tetsuya Komuro and Monday Michiru.
His sensitivity to soloists`comes as a result of accumulated training and experience. He also has a very attractive humane personality that people always recognize and trust. His CD entitled "FROM THIS MOMENT ON" is a culmination of his activities in Japan as well as his world travels will be released in October, 2008.
